Acquisition of Process Research Associates (PRA) Group

Inspicio through its operating company, Inspectorate,  is delighted to announce the acquisition of the Process Research Associates (PRA) Group of companies in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

PRA offers metallurgical testing whilst the group’s analytical arm; International Plasma Laboratories (IPL), provides geochemical analysis. The group has 80 employees across these two divisions and moved into a new 30,000 sq ft facility in 2005.  Metallurgical testing represents a diversification of service for Inspectorate that is highly complimentary to our existing Exploration and Mining Services. PRA assist clients worldwide in beneficiation of metals and minerals. Their services include Mineral Processing (bench to pilot plant), Hydrometallurgy and Bio-Hydrometallurgy.

Manager Peter Tse will remain with the business and work with the Inspectorate team to expand the Metallurgical Service globally through our existing network of laboratories.  The IPL division specialises in geochemical and exploration analysis and is now Inspectorate’s fifth hub lab within the division.

This Vancouver location adds to a network that boasts state-of-the-art labs in Reno, USA; Perth, Australia, Lima, Peru and Kendari, Indonesia. These strategic locations serve a wider network of satellite, sample preparation and mine site laboratories. The Group is already investing to ensure IPL’s fast turn-around times can be maintained and improved even as throughput continues to increase. 

The management team of both PRA and IPL have committed to remaining with the business and will compliment the Groups ever growing pool of talent in this field.  Together we have already begun to implement an aggressive growth strategy for the business in line with our overall global growth plans for the Exploration and Mining Service division of Inspectorate.  We are excited to welcome PRA to the Inspicio Group.
