Inspectorate acquire Hoff & Co. Services BV
Senior management from Inspectorate and Hoff signed contracts on 29th February 2008 at a ceremony in Rotterdam.
Hoff & Co was established in 1987 by the current management, who have over 50 years' experience in the field of services of inspection, weighing, sampling and analysis of ferroalloys, ores, general metals and solid fuels. The business will continue to be run by Marcus Hoff, General Manager and Aldwin Vogel, Technical Director.
Inspectorate's metals and minerals division is enjoying rapid expansion in the buoyant Northern European market, and the Hoff acquisition brings considerable weight and expertise which now underpins existing operations in Rotterdam.
Hoff and Co. have been working closely with Inspectorate over the last few months as a sub-contractor for the Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Antwerp portion of a 5-year global coal inspection contract and the two companies are now looking forward to continuing mutual growth under the Inspectorate umbrella.
